Love this hot new track from off SWV’s new studio album, I Missed Us. It’s “Better Than I,” a joint that addresses the fact that you really don’t have to look to far to find the perfect mate. The lyrics are fun and clever, “I’m a keep it 100. She ain’t got nothing. I can prove why. She ain’t got nothin’ on my Ooh-Ah. Don’t go thinkin’ she’s better than I.”

And the rest of the album is great, too, especially for SWV fans. There are a few cuts that pay homage to the group’s old-school style and swagger, in cuts like, “All About You.” On their first studio album in 15 years, the infamous girl group —now grown women— are working with producer Cainon Lamb, who co-produced music for Keyshia Cole, Beyonce, Monica and Jasmine Sullivan. In fact, you can imagine Sullivan singing one of the new tracks called “Keep You Home.”

Fans will enjoy the soulful songbirds rendition of Patti LaBelle’s 1983 hit, “If Only You Knew,” and if you’re looking for a traditional quiet storm jam, then check out “Time to Go.” This album is an accurate representation of authentic R&B music, something few, new artists have been able to truly capture.

Have you heard former Danity Kane songstress Dawn Richard’s new song, “Faith”? It’s from her new EP called Armor On. The 10-track studio album has a different sound for Dawn. She continues to give fans heartfelt, soulful lyrics, but this time the familiar vocals are laid over a chilled-out, fast-paced, electronic vibe —that’s sure to calm your nerves after a stressful day.

Dawn’s new solo project is getting good reviews from loyal fans, and Armor On is still hot after debuting at the top of iTunes’ R&B Albums chart more than two weeks ago.

Toni Braxton just released the new video for her single, “I Heart You.” After the end of the Braxton Family Values 2^nd season, Ms. Braxton shows no signs of slowing down. On last night’s reunion special, Toni mentioned that her new single would be out by the time the special aired, and that her divorce from Keri Lewis would be final.

Even though the two are officially splitting up, they will continue making beautiful music together. It’s rumored that Keri will be the executive producer for Toni’s next studio album. And there are murmurs from Toni herself that she may end her short-lived reality star career –which explains why we didn’t see her that much on the most recent season of Braxton Family Values.

Apparently family and the reality show are starting to interfere with the Toni Braxton brand. Earlier this year, Toni decided to drop her brother-in-law, Vincent Herbert, as her manager. And like many artists, she’s going the independent route, and if her new joint is any indication of things to come –this might be the right route for her.

Watch a preview of the upcoming season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey. It looks like Jacqueline Laurita is still part of “the cast” despite rumors she was leaving the show completely. Of course, this could be the sh*tstorm that erupted to make her leave.

Melissa Gorga is taking her music career seriously and appears to be taking dance lessons from J. Lo’s ex-hubby and talented choreographer Chris Judd. Caroline’s sister and original Jersey housewife, Dina Manzo is back, too. Although I’m not sure if she’s going to be around for the entire season since her whole reason for leaving was to get away from all the negative energy and drama.

And speaking of drama, it’s no surprise, but it appears that Teresa Giudice is at the center of all the drama and arguments, based on the preview. She’s definitely wreaking havoc and stirring up the hornet’s nest for girls the franchise’s 4th season.

All the Jersey drama starts on Sunday, April 22, at 10/9c. Will you watch the all-new season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey on Bravo TV?

Check out Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” video. It’s the second single and second video from her highly anticipated new studio album, MDNA, which drops on Tuesday, March 26. I’ve already pre-ordered it!

And in this video, she continues to push the envelope and never disappoints with deliciously poppin’ eye candy… um, dancing in heels?! I’ll admit the men kissing don’t exactly have the shocking effect as say, her “Human Nature” video.

I can’t wait to catch her concert in DC this fall. For now, I’m curious to know what you think about Ma’s new video.

The R&B group SWV is back, and just released a new single called “Co-Sign.” Yep, that’s right, Coko, Taj and LeLee, have reunited in hopes of renewing their success in the 90s. You may recall some of their hits, including “I’m So Into You,” “Weak,” “You’re the One” and “Right Here/Human Nature” —the latter being my favorite song. And more recently the ladies were featured on Chris Brown’s single She Ain’t You. So stepping back into the studio was inevitable for the award-winning group. It get D-Pop poppin’ with excitement.

Sisters With Voices will release a full studio album on April 17, 2012. So sign me up for buying that! For now, check out SWV’s hot new single, “Co-Sign,” and tell me what you think.

Watch the trailer of Ridley Scott’s new movie, Prometheus. This movie looks awesome, and it has a star-studded cast, including Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron and Idris Elba. It apparently takes place around the same time as the infamous “Alien” movies. The sci-fi, horror flick drops in theaters on June 8, 2012. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Usher released this hot, dramatic new video, “Climax.” For this new track, he hooks up with Diplo, a well-renowned DJ who rocks the party and parties around the world. So this is interesting departure from the typical R&B ballad, which actually sets Usher apart from all the R&B auto-tuned artists out there. And it’s about time the true singers use their God-given talents. It’s amazing how auto-tune has made made one-hit wonders out of people who really don’t know how to sing at all. Time to stop frontin’!

I digress. Anyway, what do you think Usher’s new video? No word yet on a title or release date for his new album, but does “Climax” intrigue you enough to make you want more new music from Usher?

Have you heard about Justin Utley, the gay ex-Mormon and survivor of ex-gay therapy? Well, he’s making his voice heard through his music. The New York City singer-songwriter has been spreading his inspiring message at several Pride Festivals, including Stockholm, Denver, LA, Atlanta, San Diego and Las Vegas.

I actually stumbled upon Justin last summer, and quickly tweeted, “Um, I think I might have a man crush on @JustinUtley. LOL! Good music!” And he was nice enough to tweet back, “Too kind… too kind.” A man —who responds quickly, looks good and could serenade me at the drop of a hat— well, it’s all good in my book. But make no mistake, there’s much more to Justin than those endearing qualities.

It’s been a long road for the alternative country rock singer. Before he became an advocate for LGBT equality and civil rights, Justin spent 2 years in a Mormon Church program — to be exact, it was conversion therapy designed to covert gay and bisexual men to heteros. Justin stopped therapy and broke ties with the Mormon Church.

In June 2010, he released “Stand for Something,” a powerful single to motivate and inspire others to fight for LGBT equality and end youth homelessness. The song was nominated by the LGBT Academy of Recording Arts for 4 OutMusic Awards, including “Best Songwriter” and “Artist of the Year.” Justin won an award for the “Best Country/Folk Song of the Year.”

Fast forward to 2012, and it’s already shaping up to be a busy year for the talented singer-songwriter. A full band showcase is scheduled for March in NYC; his new video for “Great Escape” is scheduled drop this Spring; and his dance card is filling up quick for scheduled Pride performances.

I enjoy listening to “Moment for Me,” “Behind My Eyes,” and of course, “Stand for Something,” which I appreciate for its strong, heartfelt message. Nicki Minaj - Starships [EXPLICIT VERSION]

Chris Brown’s Turn Up the Music

I really like this video because it transports me back to when music videos were fun, creative, and when choreography was also important. Chris Brown seems to be channeling MJ (Michael Jackson) in this video, but don’t sleep on him, he has his unique moves and flair.

Even though I love the video and continue to be amazed with Breezy’s talents, I still believe he needs to work on his anger and domestic violence issues. After being subjected to domestic violence as a child, I think it’s an issue no one should take lightly. It’s not something we should overlook just because we’ve been dazzled by a shiny object — Chris Brown.

Anyway, I congratulate Chris Brown on his Grammy win for Best R&B Album, but I’m still baffled that up against fellow nominees, El DeBarge, Ledisi, Kelly Price and R. Kelly, that he took the Grammy home. I’m not sure, but I sense the Hip-Hop/Dance/R&B waters are getting a little muddy, and people don’t have a clear concept of what true R&B sounds like anymore. And btw, why wasn’t Jill Scott nominated? That was a hard pill for me to swallow.

Sorry for being a “Debby Downer,” but I’m sure Chris Breezy’s fun will add a little pep in your step. It did for me.

As promised… here’s It All Belongs To Me, the new track by Monica and Brandy. The R&B divas’ last duet was for The Boy is Mine, 14 years ago.

The women are no longer fighting over a man, but in this song, they are kicking their man —or men— to the curb, claiming all the shit he owns really belongs to them, including that MacBook.

It’s a great song and an even better performance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday night. The women dedicated their performance to Whitney Houston. Monica, wearing a Whitney t-shirt, was visibly upset after the performance, shedding a few tears as the women embraced in a hug. Crying or not, the women look fabulous.

Anyway, the joint pops deliciously. It will appear on Monica’s album, New Life, slated to drop on April 3, 2012, and Brandy’s yet-to-be titled album due out in May. Tell me what you think about this hot duo’s new track.

If you love musicals and the big lights of Broadway, there’s no way you’ve missed the first two episodes of the new NBC show, Smash. The show stars Debra Messing, Anjelica Huston, Katharine McPhee, Jack Davenport, Christian Borle and Megan Hilty.

I’m in love with the show and so far, this song, “20th Century Fox Mambo.” I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for the new show, and it looks like it’s already a big ratings winner for the peacock network.

Check out Cassie’s new music video, King of Hearts, the first track off her forthcoming album, slated to drop in May 2012. She apparently is playing up the sex this time around, especially in scenes where she sports leather straps to cover “the boys.” I’m sure the straight boys will love this video.

And fans expecting to hear a joint similar to her smash single “Me & U,” well, they’ll have to wait. This track is a bit of a departure for the sexy singer displaying much swagger. “King of Hearts” is a dance track that I’m sure will keep the club crowd happy and out on the floor.
